Lundy's Lane : July 25, 1814 - Commemorative Service

Commemorative Service

A Commemorative Service is held each year by the Lundy's Lane Historical Society in memory of the brave men who died here. The Service takes place in the Drummond Hill Cemetery at 12:30pm on the Sunday closest to July 25th. This year's Sunday Service falls on July 25, 2004.

The Lundy's Lane Commemorative Service is attended by citizens from both sides of the border -- a border which has since seen almost 190 years of peace.

Commemorative Wall

The Lundy's Lane Commemorative Wall Committee has chosen Campbell Monument Company to design a sculpture relief for the Drummond Hill Cemetery Wall at the Lundy's Lane Battlefield.

Campbell Monument Company has completed four reliefs reflecting the War of 1812 and specifically, the Battle of Lundy's Lane. These reliefs are on limestone and added to the existing retaining wall.

The Lundy's Lane Commemorative Wall was unveiled on July 25, 2004 following the Commemoration Service.
