
We have refought the significant actions of Bonaparte's Italian Campaign of 1796-1797. The opening phase, "The Defeat of Piedmont" highlights the actions at Montenotte, Dego I, and Dego II.
The second phase, "The Pursuit to the Po" finds the French pursuing Beaulieu's main Austrian force and is highlighted by the action at Lodi. The third phase, "The Lombard Plain" provides an overview of the breaching of the Mincio and the action at Borghetto. As well, one of Napoleon's most famous proclamations to "Ses frères d'armes" deserves inclusion.
The final phase covers the Austrian attempts by Wurmser and Alvintzi to relieve the fortress city of Mantua and highlight the significant actions at Castiglione I, Castiglione II, Caldiero, Arcole (15 Nov 1796), Arcole (16 Nov 1796), Arcole (17 Nov 1796), and Rivoli (14 Jan 1797).
