| Brent Nosworthy was a game designer for SPI, OSG, and ADG. In recent years,
he has applied the analytical approach underlying simulation design to the traditional
military historical area. His two previous books on military history, "The Anatomy of
Victory: Battle Tactics 1689-1763" and "With Musket, Sword and Cannon: Battle Tactics
of Napoleon and His Enemies", are widely considered classics in their field.
His latest book,"The Bloody Crucible of Courage: Fighting Methods and Combat
Experience of the Civil War", is being regarded as the most comprehensive book of
its kind, a major revision of our understanding of how the Civil War was
fought and how it looked through the eyes of the men fighting it. To learn more about the book
